1221 is proud to announce the availability of 24 Inch Floating Leg sizes in our AP3L and AP3Lx configuration. The AP3L is our traditional concave floating leg 3-piece wheel that has a forged 6061-T6 center disc, forged outers and inners in combination with a 40-bolt construction. The AP3Lx uses the same concave floating leg 3-piece construction but with lightening through pockets through the center, outer, and inner combined with a 20-bolt construction for additional weight reduction. In additional to the weight reduction, the AP3Lx through pockets add a unique design feature that no other brand offers. With OEM wheel options increasing in their standard size 24” has continued to increase in popularity thanks to new applications like the Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentaga, G-Wagon, and Range Rover’s.

Up until recently the only way to install a 24” 3-piece wheel was to use a 22” center paired with 24” rim parts that resulted in a more traditional 3-piece look without a floating leg on the center disc similar to our AP3 configuration. Great looking wheels for certain applications looking for a more old-school look – but not to everyone’s taste. In response to this design tradeoff, the 24 inch floating leg AP3L and AP3Lx 3-piece wheels have a more modern look suited to the most recent SUV’s and Trucks aesthetics.

FORGING TECHNOLOGY

Thanks to advances in forging technology, we can now offer full sCon, dCon, and xCon deep concave profiles for all 24” applications. There is no longer a tradeoff on the visual aesthetic of a 24” wheel compared to a 20-22” size and which allows our 24” wheels to be thinner, lighter, and more concave than ever before. As with all of our Apex3.0 wheels the new forgings have been integrated into our proprietary engineering profiles which allow our wheels to have a more extreme concave profile than our competitors. Our 24” AP3L and AP3Lx wheels are now available in all 17 1221 Apex3.0 styles.
